This is the registration form for the Golden Gate Restaurant Association’s 2020 Food Safety Manager Class + Exam. 

  • The 1-Day Course is available to members for $95 and non-members for $165. 

  • Class begins at 8:30am and instruction runs until 2pm. The exam follows the instruction. 

  • The 1-Day course includes a study guide and exam. 

  • There is also an exam only option, please email for more information. 


California Retail Food Code requires, "Food facilities that prepare, handle, or serve un-prepackaged, potentially hazardous food, except temporary food facilities, shall have an owner or employee who has successfully passed an approved accredited food safety manager certification examination. There shall be at least one food safety certified owner or employee at each food facility." Certification is valid for (5) years. 

CANCELLATION OR CHANGE POLICY: Food Safety Manager classes are non-refundable. Registrants may update their registration to another like event subject to a change fee of $20 for GGRA members and $30 for non-members at least (1) week prior to the registered class date.

GGRA cannot guarantee changes made after this date or for “no-show” reservations. Attendee substitutions will be accepted at no charge with written confirmation. By registering for this event you agree to the change or cancellation policy.

This is not deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes. However, expenses incurred to maintain or improve skills required by an individual in his/her employment or business are tax deductible. Consult your tax advisor.

The GGRA reserves the right to change, cancel, or postpone, enrollment, location, start or end time, for any reason anytime. We observe a rain or shine policy and do not intend to change, cancel, or postpone a scheduled class. It may be necessary to make changes, cancel or postpone scheduled class times for which you register. We will notify registered examinees as soon possible by email. Please watch for communication regarding your enrollment and take action if required. By registering for this event you agree to our right to change, cancel or postpone class or exam session at anytime.
